It is the right of every resident to feel safe and secure in their own home. We work closely with our stakeholders such as the Police, Tower Hamlets Council and Tower Hamlets Homes to eliminate anti-social behaviour and reduce the likelihood of it happening in the future. We will support any resident who is suffering anti-social behaviour and take action against those who behave in an anti-social way.

Vandalism

The role of the TMC
The TMC will investigate all reported cases of ASB and will contact the complainant offering an interview during working hours at the TMC offices.
If you are unable to come to the office or have mobility issues, the TMC Officer will offer a home visit. The investigation including interviews (complainant, witnesses, and alleged perpetrator) will be conducted in accordance with the THH ASB procedure.
How to report Anti-Social Behaviour

Acting in an anti-social way is a breach of the terms of your tenancy or lease. If you persistently act in an anti-social way we will work with our stakeholders and take action that could lead to your being arrested or losing your home. If you are concerned for your safety, contact the police immediately on 999.
What you must do
If you are experiencing neighbour nuisance, we will ask you to maintain a diary of events with key information such as:
1. Time
2. Date
3. Location and
4. Description of Disturbance
The officer assigned to your case will discuss the details of this diary sheet with you and agree the next steps. Click the link to download your diary sheets and guidance. You should report all instances of anti-social behaviour you experience or witness in your neighbourhood. Even if there is not enough evidence to act against the perpetrator(s), your report will be recorded and may help substantiate future cases, as well as aiding the THH ASB team in directing resources effectively.
If you have reported an ongoing problem of ASB, and believe that it has not been dealt with, you can ask the Tower Hamlets Council Community Safety Partnership to review your complaints (including incidents of hate) under the Community Trigger process.
The Community Trigger process should only be used if no action has been taken by the TMC, THH, the Council or Police despite repeated reports of ASB. It cannot be used to report general acts of crime.
