The work on the mural has commenced in October following consultation with the younger residents and their families during the summer. The mural design has been inspired by feedback received with a focus around the world colour gradient with some characters and interactive elements.
A workshop was held during the half term school holiday on Wednesday 25 October which was attended by 30 plus younger residents accompanied by parents. The workshop focused on colour theory and the emotions wheel where the children were able to identify their emotions with words and colour. The children also had an opportunity to help paint the mural.
